He became involved in his industry because he started in sales management at The Hershey Company. He was quickly recruited to Wrigley as a top sales performer. After eight years with the company, Mr. Lopez was selected to lead global operations in Central and South America.

Mr. Lopez has worked for Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company for 30 years. His first eight years with the company were spent with the U.S. division, while he has been working with the Latin American region for the last 22 years. He launched the business in Mexico in 1992, which grew to $35 million in the first three years. Ricolino/Bimbo was the company’s distributor. He also worked with Frito-Lay in Brazil four years later. Mr. Lopez’s efforts with Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company have led the English-speaking Caribbean market leaders to hold a share of over 55 percent. He has been recognized for his work through being selected as one of 200 Wrigley's Mars, Tie and Scarf Inductees. He believes in trust, dignity and respect. In addition, he feels that the profession is all about its people and following up with them.

With operations in approximately 50 countries and distribution in more than 180 countries, Wrigley's brands bring smiles to faces around the globe. The company, headquartered in Chicago, employs approximately 17,000 associates globally, and it operates as a subsidiary of Mars, Incorporated.
