She became involved in her profession because she has been riding horses since she was a child.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Burgermeister loves the horse life, as well as her husband, 3-year-old miracle twins, great friends and family. She lives and breathes horses; they are her passion, and she wants to share the enjoyment and freedom they provide her in her life. She loves seeing the achievement of her students, as well as putting a smile on others' faces. She feels that her service is an awesome form of exercise and stress relief, and is the best family sport ever.

Ms. Burgermeister likes playing polocrosse with her 64-year-old father. Her special achievements include her company becoming an Equestrian Australia Accredited ReadySetTrot delivery center, and the only one on the Gold coast. She has been the owner and operator of a successful horse riding school on the Gold coast for six years, bringing enjoyment to many children and adults.

She just published her book,JJ Talks,Horse Ridders Lessons for Beginners. Publisher Exlibris 2016

Ms. Burgermeister is passionate about helping children get a safe and confident start in the world of horse riding. She has more than 35 years of experience working with horses, and she has earned many awards and certifications related to horsemanship. Her goal in creating her program was to find a way to reward beginners on a weekly basis to keep them excited and motivated, while satisfying their parents. She is able to achieve this sense of achievement through a reward system that consists of stickers, ribbons, trophies and certificates, all of which serve to reinforce a child’s confidence and give parents a tangible achievement by which to measure progress. Her system also involves a one-size-fits-all cap, with specially designed badges that display a ranked set of skills achieved across six levels.

Ms. Burgermeister has also written a book, “GG Talks-Horse Riding Lessons for Beginners,” to support children starting out in the world of horse riding. It has been specifically written from a riding school perspective, with the aim of aiding beginner development.

Finally, Ms. Burgermeister hosts women’s week away programs, featuring horse whispering sessions, beach riding opportunities and a day spa. Located on Australia’s beautiful Gold Coast, these programs offer women a week of complete relaxation, as well as time to refocus mentally and physically to develop confidence, care and communication along with feeling pampered.
