He became involved in his profession because of his prior experiences in information technology; he was working as a loan officer at a bank and he saw how accounting and banking was going to merge with information technology.

Mr. Mitchell has more than 20 years of experience in sales and management, specializing in information technology software solutions sales to banks, credit unions and Fortune 500 companies. He is a trusted industry advisor and financial services expert, possessing extensive experience working in banks that successfully cover territories of up to 35 states. He performed this work from a virtual office through his prior position, and he now has a nationwide team of 25 that reports to him. He manages all of the hiring for the division and performs some training as well. Hands-on technical training for the division is handled by a professional services group.

This unique software for the mortgage industry is cloud-based and offers continuity in processing mortgages from origination to sale. With added features between four and five years ago, Calyx Technology, Inc. came out with brand-new software that starts a loan from the beginning, creates documents, then sends it to investor so they never leave the software. Mr. Mitchell is in charge of bringing the software out. He brought the first customers in and now has 13 clients. Furthermore, Mr. Mitchell has an excellent skill set in selling unique, customized software services that improve production, workflow productivity and customer retention, as well as mitigate risk. Prior to his current role, he was senior director of sales at Drakefield Associates for three years and was responsible for new business development.
